Technical Support

The Office of Information Technology's Help Desk is your first point of contact for technical issues or software questions. You can contact us via phone or email.

TAMIU technicians can assist with any questions concerning account management (including Dusty email setup and password resets), as well as Banner ID, NetID and UConnect.

To contact the Help Desk on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (CT), call 956-326-2310, or email hotline@tamiu.edu.

Library

TAMIU online students have access to the vast resources within the Sue & Radcliffe Killam Library, which houses a collection of almost 800,000 titles including print books, ebooks, audiovisual materials, and federal and Texas state government documents.

The Killam Library provides materials and services to meet your information needs as an online student. The Library belongs to TexShare, a state-wide resource sharing network featuring joint electronic databases. It is also a member of OCLC, a worldwide library network, which makes the collections of other institutions available to our library through interlibrary loans. Our membership in the Texas Digital Library facilitates the publication of locally produced digital materials such as theses, dissertations and electronic journals. The library also belongs to a consortium of other Texas A&M University System libraries, which achieves greater value and more extensive resources through the collective licensing of databases.

You must have a NetID login and password to access databases and other resources. You will automatically be prompted to log in for access when you click on any database, ebook or electronic journal article link within any library resource such as WorldCat Discovery, the Databases A-Z list or the Research Guides.

For assistance, you can call 956-326-2138, email researchhelp@tamiu.edu or live chat with a librarian during regular business hours.

Veterans Resources

There has never been a better time for military veterans to further their education and training in Texas. TAMIU is committed to helping veterans make the best choices possible while attaining the maximum assistance, guidance and support utilizing the new GI Bill and other programs.

The Office of Veterans Affairs at TAMIU assists those who have served or are serving in the United States Armed Forces and wish to enroll in college, or those who are currently attending college using any Federal or State Veteran Education Benefits. We also help aid dependents and/or spouses of deceased or disabled veterans through the Dependents Educational Assistance (Chapter 35) or the Hazlewood Exemption. Among the services we provide:

  • Information regarding educational benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)
  • Assistance in applying for your GI Bill benefits
  • Certifying enrollment to the VA for payment each semester attended
  • Assistance in resolving pay problems

Thank you for your service. Visit our website to learn how we can help, and feel free to contact us at 956-326-2254 or veteransoffice@tamiu.edu.
