Dr. Cusack taught in nursing academia for the past 10 years, most recently as the endowed chair of gerontology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She also held various administrative jobs including chief nursing officer and advanced practice service line supervisor.

What is the value of this degree?
Advancing your nursing education, in any graduate-level track, will open up new doors and possibilities that you may not have previously considered. In my doctoral program, I learned that I'm passionate about practice change and quality improvement. I never would have guessed that I'd choose to continue research (and publishing!) when it wasn't part of an assigned project. I have three open IRBs at this time.
Tell us something interesting about yourself that your students may not know.
I have two-year-old twins. If we chat on the phone or a web-based video platform, I suspect that you may hear yelling in the background.
