What do you want students in your courses to learn? What are the learning outcomes or objectives?
Students in my courses should learn to think critically as well as improve their writing skills.
Why did you start teaching?
I started teaching to bring non-traditional examples into courses that students traditionally don't see value in, such as research methods and statistics.
What advice would you give to those considering this online program?
If you go into the program with an idea of what you want out of it and the particular area in which you want to work, you should choose paper topics that will allow you to improve your skills and advance your knowledge.
How can this degree help students prepare for the challenges of the field?

What is the value of this degree?
I think students are the ones who place value in their degrees and experiences. Outside of that, this program will provide explanations and insight into contemporary problems and possible solutions to issues that plague the criminal justice system.
What types of projects and work do you typically assign for these courses?
In this program, most of my students will be assigned papers to examine a topic that is relevant to their interests in the criminal justice system.
